INTRODUCING ….

THE GERONIMO MATEOS

“JAZZ AUSTRALIA” Oval Hole

I was pretty excited when the first "Jazz Australia" model arrived-

The first signature Selmer model designed for Australia and only available in Australia!

Federico Mateos has created a guitar that offers many of the design features of the original Selmer’s. A solid Spruce top and an exacting Selmer shape.
The innovation in the Jazz Australia is in the use of Mahogany and African Rosewood to create a BRACELESS ARCHED back. All designed to let those beautiful tonal woods resonate and sing!

African Rosewood has beautiful reddish and bronze-like colours giving the guitar a stunning appearance. The combination of African Rosewood and Mahogany offers lovely warm even tones, with plenty of sustain and clarity and a bright mid range.

The Jazz Australia is finished with hand applied natural oil; offering the guitar some protection while leaving the tonalwoods open to create maximum tone and projection.

All together this is a stunning looking and sounding guitar with excellent playability.

For added value the Jazz Australia also comes with an  LC Pickup installed. Watch the video at the bottom to see a demo of the pick up.

THIS IS A BRAND NEW, HAND MADE, EUROPEAN GUITAR DIRECTLY IMPORTED INTO AUSTRALIA!

All  guitars are professionally set-up upon arrival from Europe.

GERONIMO MATEOS GUITARS-

Geronimo and Federico Mateos are a Spanish father and son luthier team creating a small collection of world renowned guitars. With just the two of them in their workshop, and with enormous attention to detail, they make less than two guitars a week on average. Their range of Gypsy Jazz guitars have regularly   been played by the best Manouche guitarists in the world including Gonzalo Bergara, Angelo Debarre and Tchavolo Schmitt.

LC PICK UP - Our entire range of Geronimo Mateos guitars all come with an “LC “ pick up.  SEE THE SHORT VIDEO BELOW! Designed and hand made by LUIS CEBEY : musician and electronic specialist. The design of both the pickup and the clamping system , make it possible to place, plug , unplug , and remove the pickup with great ease and without grating the top of the guitar. The internal wire is connected to an endpin jack.
