MAURICE DUPONT Model NOMADE D Hole

SPECIFICATIONS

  • Back and sides in laminated etimoe
  • French spruce top
  • Walnut neck (screwed to body)
  • Indian rosewood fingerboard
  • Satin finish

The Maurice Dupont Nomade is the BEST selling guitar in my range!

The Nomade features all the wonderful sound, tone and playability that Maurice Dupont guitars are renowned for without the price tag of the MD models.

It is beautifully built with a French Spruce top and beautifully figured Etimoe (African Hardwood) back and sides. The Etimoe wood has a warm sound with acoustic properties that are very similar to mahogany.

The Walnut neck is screwed to the body and designed to be easily pulled apart for travel.

Dupont guitars are world renowned and are of exceptional quality. We at Gypsy Jazz Australia are so proud to be the first to import a range of Dupont guitars into Australia!

This model comes complete with a poly foam case.

All  guitars are professionally set-up upon arrival from Europe.

The Dupont Nomade is also the guitar of choice of Gypsy Jazz Professional Rodrigo Santiago. Here is Rodrigo (on right) playing his Nomade...

Here is Camaron De la Vega demonstrating the Dupont Nomad D hole-

We also made a video of the Nomade's Oval hole Vs D Hole

    Maurice Dupont Guitars

Initially trained in Paris by the famous luthier Jacques Favino, Maurice Dupont first opened his own workshop near Cognac in France in 1981. Since then he has become one of the most respected luthiers in France. In 1989  the honour of “Best French Craftsman” was bestowed on him.

While first gaining a reputation for his classical guitars in 1986 Maurice made his first copy of a Selma-Maccaferri guitar. These Gypsy guitars have since become the leading product of his workshop and the popular choice of many of the worlds top guitarists including Bireli Lagrene, Raphael Fays, Romane and Marc Fosset.

Maurice DuPont has more recently installed a saw mill and wood seasoning space to store and age specialty woods for making an even more unique instrument found in his Veille Reserve models. Gypsy Jazz Australia aims to import these models eventually.

THIS IS A BRAND NEW HANDMADE GUITAR DIRECTLY IMPORTED FROM EUROPE!!
