Alves de Puga D670
Deep in the South West of France is the village of Orthez where the luthier Jean Louis Alves de Puga has been crafting Selma guitars for over 20 years with his son Timo. Jean Louis prides himself on making as much of his instruments as possible by hand. He makes a very limited number of instruments each year and takes great pride in his work. Having failed French at school (that is a story!) I have been communicating with Jean Louis on Google Translate and am excited to say this is the very first Alves de Puga ever available new in Australia! It is a magnificent D hole 670 made with a solid Spruce top, Mahogany neck and an unusual combination of Sycamore outer and inner Rosewood back and sides. The Sycamore looks stunning and the rosewood needs no introduction as a tonal wood.
This Alves de Puga D670 has a wonderful unique tone and plays beautifully.
At $2500 this is fantastic value and one of a kind guitar in Australia!
